Selangor, Wednesday, 30March: The Federation of Complementary & Natural Medical Associations, Malaysia(FCNMAM), the Practitioners’ umbrellabody appointed by the Ministry of Health, Traditional & Complementary Medicine Division, and BookDoc, an online healthcare app, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today in an effort to improve access to qualified complementary and Natural medicine practitioners. The MoUwas signed by Y.Bhg Dato’ Steve Yap, President of FCNMAM and Y.Bhg Dato’ Chevy Beh, founder and CEO of BookDoc.

Via BookDoc mobile app, which is available free on both App Store and Google Play Store, medical/health consumers from Malaysia and abroad can easily browse through the extensive list of healthcare practitioners and make appointments with those whom they prefer to seek adjunctive or complementary medical advice or treatment.

This is in line with BookDoc’s goal to enhance the access of healthcare in the Asia region. The public, via BookDoc, would soon be able to access qualified practitioners in nutritional medicine, chiropractic, osteopathy, hypnotherapy, therapeutic massageand other complementary modalities who have been certified by FCNMAM and have proper practice facilities.Theseduly certified practitioners, on the other hand, will gain access to BookDoc’s expanding network of users from across the Region to increase public awareness of their respective treatment modalities.

“BookDoc maintains a very rigorous process so that public can always have peace of mind when searching for doctors, dentists and specialists via BookDoc. With this collaboration the public can now access qualified and certified professionals who practice Complementary and Natural Medicine”, said Dato’ Chevy Beh.

“This collaboration fits into the company’s plan to not only expand to new geographical locations, but to also extend the list of healthcare professionals beyond medical doctors and dentists. We hope that one day BookDoc will become the de facto platform for all healthcare needs”, he added.

“FCNMAM’s collaboration with BookDoc offers a reputable national platform for our qualified members to expand their clientele to help Malaysia position itself as a Centre of Excellence in the provision of evidence-based complementary medicine for this Region as provided for under the 11th Malaysian Health Plan,” explained Dato’ Steve Yap.
